On Friday evenings, downtown Spearfish, approximately a 30-minute drive from the hotel, offers free music concerts and engaging activities for children from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Additionally, the historic main street of Deadwood, just a 10-minute drive from the hotel, presents numerous attractions and opportunities for exploration.

There are limited childcare options available in the area. The Alliance First Step Child Care Center in Deadwood is a state-licensed provider that offers drop-in and temporary care services. It is advisable to call at least a month in advance to inquire about availability, though this does not guarantee a spot: 605-559-2007. Additionally, the Boys and Girls Club of Lead-Deadwood provides a supportive and inclusive environment for all community youth. The club is located behind the Hampton Inn at the Handley Recreation Center.
